Dengue fever kills in Latin America

Sunday, September 30th, 2007

Dengue MosquitoLatin America and the Caribbean are fighting what’s called “Dengue fever“, which is spreading like dust and causes extreme joint pains. Dengue fever is carried by mosquitoes thanks to the trash the nation is releasing, like water-collecting trash or old tires and has killed almost 200 people this year, in a race to break records.

Authorities advised people to use spray and cream when visiting those countries because the biggest danger of dengue fever is doctors won’t be able to trace it with its flu-like symptoms. Suspicion levels are set higher and higher this year, be it from doctors or tourists trying to visit Latin America or the Caribbean.

Dengue was thought to be eliminated since 1980, but apparently it’s not, and the 630,356 cases this year proves it right. I wonder why wasn’t a vaccine or an efficient treatment developed? Were those guys busy with making money on the bird-flu? Let’s hope they do get solutions before more people are affected by the dengue fever.

Balkans Media - blogs networkIt’s not a secret that blogs networks are becoming more and more popular, but how you do it is the most important. BM authors, have the knowledge and the desire to write for our readers to give tips, news and opinions on a few and we only select the best. So what we do? We write, whenever we need to tell something to the world. Where we do it from is not that important, but we’re in the Balkans.

So far we only cover about 10 niches but as soon as possible, that should go to at least 20 quality informative blogs included in our network.

Let’s hope it’s for the best.

Cheers,
Alex
